Account information: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored securely by our authentication provider) and your preferred language.

Profile and activity information: your role (merchant or influencer), the details of your store or business (name, location, categories) and any content you add to your storefront.

Social account data: if you connect your TikTok account, we receive the TikTok profile information you authorize (username, account ID, basic profile data). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture.

Media: the product or profile images you upload, processed and stored through our image provider.

Affiliation and transaction data: affiliate codes, affiliations between merchants and influencers, and records of sales or commissions tracked on the platform.

Technical and usage data: logs, device and browser information, and basic statistics about your use of the Service.

We use your information to create and manage your account, operate the Service, enable merchant–influencer affiliations and track commissions, send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, notifications), improve and secure the Service, and comply with our legal obligations.

Akiba’s model relies on conversations that may take place via WhatsApp between users and their customers. When you communicate via WhatsApp, that exchange is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not control WhatsApp and are not responsible for it.

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service: a database and authentication provider, an image hosting and delivery provider, an email delivery service, as well as web hosting and DNS providers. They process data on our behalf, as processors, under their own security and confidentiality commitments.

The Service also integrates with services you interact with directly: Google (if you choose to sign in with Google), TikTok (if you connect your TikTok account) and WhatsApp (for conversations between users). Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Your data is primarily stored on servers located in the European Union. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in these locations.

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your language. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active or as long as necessary to provide the Service, and in accordance with legal obligations or the resolution of any disputes.
